Cipher digital painting

Hi everyone!

I was going through my blog articles and saw Cipher -WIP and I sort of forgot to post the finished drawing on here >_< I'm SO sorry! LOL, I don't remember it at all! @_@

Ok, as I promised I'm uploading Cipher in here :D I hope you don't mind this late...lol
I've been busy doing other things, designing banners for our church and design shirts for
our Praise team. They told me that many people loved it! Also Coral Spring Church's Music Minister also liked my "Boy & sheep" design, she said she's going to order for her team. WOW! I'm really happy that they liked my design.


I was worried that I might not do a good job BUT, thank to God it turned out alright ^^ That gave me ideas to make T-shirt designs when I come back from my trip.

I will start to design T-shirts and some custom made stuffs with my Mom, stay tune for my announcement for our online shop ;P Hopefully this design thing will lead us into something more wonderful!

I might be able to update till July, before my next update I want to wish everyone a great summer and keep drawing!

Praise God T-shirt!

Hi guys!
Just want to share the new with you guys, I got the T-shirt few days ago it was pretty!
Picture is very crisp and proportion is just perfect! I was worried that picture might looked smaller on the actual Tshirt but it turned out just right!, YAY!

I didn't have the polo shirt but this Sunday I'll get it, I'll post it on here with both pictures. I think Blogger has some problem, it won't let me post any pictures, it said "Server rejected", not sure why but I'll try it again on this Sunday. :)

Ok, another closeup of the t-shirt!

:) Picture is nice, specially the sheep, SO cute! I know that our English Praise Team didn't like this shirt, according to what they said " it's too cute!" I guess since they are all guys... they don't want cute stuff on them... LOL

This Sunday I will receive the other shirt, since we changed the shirt color so it will be gray and black logo. My sister was asking me how come I didn't design black shirt and white logo? O_O yeah, heheh, I never thought of it! I wanted to give some color to the team I didn't think "black" is a god choice. Anyway, I'll update you on Sunday. Please take care!

Chibi Princess SAI and sheepy doodles

I'm currently working on several illustration for my Facebook and Deviant Art pages. I was SO inspired by this girl on Deviant art who draws a sheep to tell bible stories.

At first, I was enjoying reading this one page comic and didn't realize that at the end of the story there was a bible verse posted! I thought it was a such nice idea, so I was gonna try.

It took me like several weeks and nothing came out. Why? Because I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DRAW! @_@ I thought it's easy but actually it's pretty hard to start!

I started to doodle...hoping by doodling I can come up with some ideas. Later I revisit the site and saw her Diary...she "PRAY" about the story... OHHHHHHHH no wonder! Haha, I should do the same. SO, I'm prayed about the story or song that God wanted me to draw >_< So far, I got a song " I need Thee every hour" ^^ I'm pretty sure this is the song BUT what to draw? (-_0) How can I draw a song?

Anyway, I just doodle till my brain tells me "THIS IS IT!" LOL. Well, we gonna see. Once I finished for sure I'll post on here (*_0) Until then...

I'm almost finished sketching the sheep & the shepherd, I wanted to create this drawing with a bit of oil painting feel in it...but I don't want to make too realistic since the sheep has very cartoonish face..haha.

These 3 drawings have three different styles... SO hard to decide what to draw!!!! Arrh... -__-

"Praise God" Praise Team Tshirt Design

Just finished a T-shirt design for our church's praise team. They asked me several months ago and I was honored to accept the job :D

I was very happy that I can use my talent to do something good for God and my church friends. I was sketching on my sketch book during Sunday service and got this image in my head, I tried to grab it before it's gone.

After I finished few sketches I showed to Praise team leaders Sandy and Rebecca, surprisingly they all liked it! It was the quickest approval I ever got! :D I'm glad that they accept the idea being "cute" for T-shirt design.

After got approval from the team I began to work on digital inking. I was quiet fun creating this sheep. It's Awassi sheep, a typical sheep in Israel. I didn't want to draw an ordinary sheep like everybody else, so I drew Awassi sheep, with cute curly hair. :D

Then I created a little chubby boy singing. He's actually King David, can you tell? LOL. Anyway, I made a staff for him also a modern t-shirt with a music note on it emphasis that he loves music.

On top of the Chinese words are "Praise Him", on the bottom is the bible verse from Psalm 96:1 "Sing new songs to the Lord...." ^^ I even picked the verse! I really liked it and I thank God to give me this privilege to design something useful!!

The printing company love my drawing, I'm surprised too! @_@ Never thought this many people liked my drawings....usually people don't say anything about my drawings...(-__-) Yeah I know. But!!! I'm happy.

Doodle with DeviantMuro!

Recently DeviantArt luanched a new online program called Muro. It's like online drawing application but you can set different layers and use diferrent brushes to draw picture, then you can publish it into your art gallery.

I was trying out and having fun with it...I found it's very interesting and fun to use, despite that the program isn't responding to my pen tablet very well...they might have to improve that over time.
Other than that, it's a fun program to use and I really enjoy it.

Vector design

Hello guys!
How was your Monday treating you? Mine was pretty busy even today!
Well, today I'll be sharing one of my first ever vector creation; Panda head!

I was following up with a very useful tutorial on internet and I thought it's very cute to try it out. I must tell you, it's kinda hard to figure where and what to use, but after my first creation I must say that I've learned A LOT and now I'm more comfortable to get familiar with illustrator.

It is very useful and powerful program, and I recommend all of you vector lovers LEARN it!!! :)
Hopefully one day I'll be able to create many cute arts with illustrator ^___^

Digital drawings - WIP

Hello everyone!
How is your weekend? I'm very excited because tomorrow we're going to attend a baby shower! My very dear friend is going to have baby soon so we thought to arrange a baby shower :)

I feel lazy recently, not sure if the weather playing a big part or what... I don't feel like doing anything at all. Maybe because of my exercise...my whole lower legs hurts like... -_- I gotta stop this laziness and have to get back to whatever I'm doing...its important! :) Ok, enough  of my rant, I'd like to share some sketches that I did while a go...oh well, maybe 3 months ago? Not so bad. wish to color it soon.

This suppose to be one of my "Alice in Wonderland" concept drawings but decided to draw simpler version of Alice. Well, after I saw the winner, I thought I should do this one instead of the other version. Hmm, maybe take more time next time?

Another one is like speed paint. Believe me, I didn't know what I was drawing and didn't like a bit BUT I did learn something from the class. At least now I know how to use markers ;]

I've been searching information on Anime Conventions and found out that Anime Expo is the largest Anime convention in the U.S.! Also this Comic-Con...and Boston Anime Expo. I've learned a lot from watching Youtube, pictures and these sites...Now I know more or less what shall I prepare for the show and it's NOT easy.

I need at least several dozen good drawings to make posters, cards...I was thinking to make some ACEO cards so I can sell it. Also some sketch books, color books...dojinshi might be a good idea but I need to learn the tool first.. ^___^
Well, I'm starting little by little, hopefully by the time I have enough to attend the show.

Drawing Contest-Robinhood

Hello everyone!
How was your Wednesday went? Mine went pretty crazy!
I was planning to do some exercise before I start vocalize and warm up, but it started to rain and my sister's little boi; Connor came to my room start to watch videos..LOL

Later I went out to make copies for my singing competition and went to my brother's office to scan it into PDF files. I must say I really liked his scanner. It's very portable and fast from Xerox...I'm thinking to get one because it's very convenient.

As I was scanning my pages, I wanted to put all my receipts in my purse and I realized my purse were GONE! Oh My GOD! I almost got a heart attack! Because not only my things will get lost but with my Mom's card!!! My whole body was shaking and my heart were bounding fast. I rant to parking lot trying to see if I left it in the car but NO. I tried to remember where was the last time I took out my purse then I remembered; OFFICEMAX! Luckily I called them, they got my purse....this is too exciting for me -_- my blood sugar just went POOF!

Anyway, everything went ok, I checked inside...PHEW.

Later I tried to attend Bobby Chiu's Live stream contest. He got at least 120 people in there...system crashed I couldn't vote nor do anything. It was sad, hopefully they can fix the problem soon :)

Later on I participated another small but fun contest. Today's title is: Robin hood.
I wanted to make a funny one rather than normal human figure, so I chose llama to be my Robin Hood. I didn't win but I got 2 votes...LOL I found art is very subjective, there is no such thing called "bad art", it depends on your taste. I was fun and intense, very good for me because I need to practice to draw as detail as possible in a short period of time :)

Well, tomorrow's topic is : "Meat eating plant" what do you think? I have something in mind :0
Anyone has PIXIV account? I really like to open one BUT I don't read Japanese...maybe I should ask my friend :D

Drawing Contest : Shut up & Draw

Today I had a lot of fun entering some fun contest it's called "Shut Up and Draw" hosted by Art Sketch Group.
Tonight's title is "Sea Gnome". First of all I want to participate this contest to train myself to show as much as I can, second is to socialize and network. We all know everything depends on how you network with people. If you are an expert of networking, most likely you'll be successful easily than those who don't really care about socializing nor networking.

This is a wonderful group + site. If you're into digital drawing, graphic design, you should go ahead register this site. After you become member ( it's free to become a member ) you can participate a lot of fun contest and some cool videos from many pros. I'm glad I did.

Ok, back to my cute creature Sea Gnome. I wanted to preserve his cuteness but also I want to change something to be more...uhm different. This is why I changed his hat from an ordinary red cone hat to fish hat, LOL. If you look closely, it's actually a real fish stuck on his head ^___^ I liked this creation very much :)

Well, since I didn't have full hour to draw this, I only spent less than 30mins or so...this is why not enough time to add any more details, BUT I had a lot of fun.
I couldn't find the "submission" bottom...what a bummer! I missed the submission by 2 mins..-_- Hopefully next time I can submit on time...hahaha.

Midnight

Hello everyone,

Here is one of my previous illustration " Midnight".
I was trying to draw something simple; maybe a face with a simple dark background, but I followed Mr. Liang Yue's advice; "If you don't have any concept, just continue with the flow, you might liked the end result. Follow your fingers..."
and I did... I must say it turned out not as bad as I thought.

I used this tool called "Pen Tool SAI" Is a very popular drawing application in Japan. Widely used among professional and amateur illustrators. I found this program has the smoothest line among other programs such as Painter or Photoshop. I often use this application in between Painters or just simply creating  illustrations from there.

Midnight is a practice drawing because at the time I was coloring I didn't have any idea about what kind of drawing I'm going to create. Unlike other illustrators they got layout, sketches and lines ready. @_o I guess I should learn from these experts because it's easier.

I'm thinking to start my portfolio. I've realized that I need to make bigger drawings. This was a problem for me, since I'm creating drawings digitally I had NO idea about the size. BUT, after saw many experienced artists, I got a rough idea what to create and how (thanks to Youtube).

:) Hopefully I can start drawing soon, I'll try my best... LOL after practice my songs I will *wink wink*

Doodles

Hi everyone!
I'm uploading some of my doodles that I did while ago...I was taking self taught lessons and thought it will be fun to upload it to keep  you updated with my progress.

I have not yet finish whole learning courses, I felt that I need more time to retake it because there are SO much to learn from the DVD. The instructor is a famous Taiwan Corel Painter master: Lian Yue. He spent alsmot 4 years to make this instructional DVD and I'm really lucky to get a copy of it.

By the way, if you're into Painter, you might want to try the link that I posted on the right "Digital painting fundamentals with Corel Painter 11. I purchased this book through other bookstore, it comes with an exercise CD to let you get familiar with the tools. If you already familiar with Painter then this is not the book you want to purchase. remember, this is only for person don't know how to use Painter and wants to learn the basic.


Anyway, back to the DVD that I was talking about, I'll try to post all the lesson homework here when I finish it and hopefully you'll enjoy some of my creative work! Heheh :)

Alice in Wonderland

Finished this drawing for Disney movie "Alice in Wonderland" contest
from Deviant Art. I enjoyed a lot during creating this fun concept, it was sort of reflecting who I am in the drawing.


The heart shape paint were all over the mushrooms, I designed this girl with Mr. Burton's style ( I hope I did it correctly! >_< )
I really like this little girl, hopefully I have time to develop more with this character in the future :)

Even though the contest ended already, yup, I know all the finalists and winners. I realized one thing; draw what's your best and keep your own unique style! Do not constantly change style because you saw so and so did that. As long you enjoy it, it's going to be a great piece!

Here is another sketch I did for Splice movie contest. Well, tell you the truth, I really liked this hybrid girl but I didn't put more time in her... *cry* Maybe later I'll take this sketch out and finish her as my first Alien...hahaha.

Fantasy Earth Zero Contest

This is the concept that I got for character design for Fantasy Earth Zero.
Even though I have not yet played this MMRP but I felt it should be a pretty cool game, hopefully I'll get chosen become one of the finalist!

It will be a lot of fun just creating new characters also making trading cards! Yeah, one of my goal is to make trading cards for online games! It will be very cool!

I have decided not to attend any anime convention this year, but I'll start next year! I got to prepare a good portfolio, products to sell such as post cards, calendars,  posters...etc. :) I'll try to attend Anime Expo in Orlando this Aug. Anyone going? Give me a buzz!

I shall finish this drawing by tomorrow, hopefully I'll get enough time to finish it, since  I have to work, Doctor appointment + BBQ party at night *sigh* too many things too little time! Tomorrow is my nephew's graduation party, I got to wake up early and dress pretty...yay!! ^_^

Digital Painting - iTouchU- WIP

Yeah, I'm working very slow... :S
I've been busy with my other project and couldn't even finish painting this drawing :S Maybe I'll have a little bit of time tomorrow evening when I come home from my job to finish this painting.

So far, I really liked the color combination, this is something that I NEVER done before :D I really liked the brownish background and the whole combination, hopefully it will turn out a good drawing :)

Ah, I got to finish "feather girl" digital painting as well... hmm, maybe later this week or next week.
I'm still thinking to make a simple tutorial for drawing hair...also maybe to make a test video tutorial about drawing chibis...it should be fun, BUT BUT BUT, before I do that, I need to get my new computer first.

I can't wait to receive my new computer from Dell, YAY~~ hopefully it's a good reliable computer so I can concentrate on editing for my photos, videos and digital drawings. :D

Well, here I'm uploading a WIP of my digital drawing of "iTouchU", hopefully I can upload the finish drawings soon :) What do you think if I make as Valentine's card? Will anyone buy it?

Feather girl

Just finished this outline of "feather girl". I think this is the most detailed drawing I ever done in  the longest time since I was in Commercial Art major xD

I really liked the fact that I let my hands to create pictures rather than think of if first. It's the most fun and creative things that I'm experiencing, woohoo! LOL!

I'm still wanna try to finish iTouchU first then start to color this one. I think I'm going to upload this drawings to my Deviant Art page and let other users to color it, it should be fun tho! As matter of fact, I'll be thrilled to see someone actually colored or "fan art" my drawings, it will mean SO much to me. :)

I finally got Mao Mao's family today, I'm SO HAPPY about it. I got at least 14 of them? They are SO cute and each one of them looked differently; with personality, oh yeah ;)

Cipher- WIP

This is Cipher [sai-fer].

This is another digital drawing that I'm working on this evening, I pretty much liked the BG color, skin tone and most of all, I want to finish this drawing so bad! :) Unfortunately I have to sleep (It's 2am already!), hopefully tomorrow I can finish drawing his hair and all other details and make it more finished.

I was wondering about other artists digital drawings, how they added texture and other things...hmm, I think I got to find out how. I know there is a free online site which you can download textures but not sure how to apply it to my drawings. D:

I always have hard time to think of a title. I don't know why....I just draw and draw...

Whenever I have to upload my digital drawings to Deviant Art site, I had to stop and try to find a title for my drawings, geesh it is SO HARD....can I put: Drawing # 1, drawing #2...etc? :(

Oh well, there is a lot to learn and first I gotta to improve to draw more detailed stuffs and improve my background. I think I'm trying my best to improve it. :) Hopefully I can get better each time I draw :D

Happy Birthday Gift from me

Hello guys, this is something that I finished for my Birthday gift! Yes, I draw to me! :)
Since I got declined from an Anime club, I felt discouraged drawing...I couldn't believe that my drawing was identified as "unfinished" or "rushed" or even " you could submit something better" while other ugly drawings was posted in the club gallery.

I felt that there is unfairness and favortism going on in the club. What kind of standard they are running? Maybe I shouldn't or needless to join a club like that in the first place...hmm... maybe I should leave the club, yeah I think I'm going to do that! D:

Here is the drawing that I finished today, It was so easy to draw and in order to prove that I'm as good as them... here it is my anime/manga style of drawing, hope you like it.

Oh well, life goes on, I shall continue to draw and improve AND ignore those people who don't know about styles. LOL.. have a great one guys.

Candy Girl

Finally I've finished this drawing! It took me looong enough to draw her hair. I've drawn 7 different hairs and none of them fit her face, geeesh I was at a point to give up!

Finally I finished with a hair that fit her but I wasn't too happy about it, oh weel I guess I have to keep thinking and maybe change it later on :)

Well, now you have chance to enjoy the "candy girl"...isn't she like a candy? Yummy~

I've been working on this for 2 days and it's in final stage! BUT, I don't know her hair style yet!!! >_<
Usually I have good idea what to do with hair style but this time with this Candy Girl...uhm... I have no idea, therefore I stopped drawing. Maybe tomorrow I have good idea about her hair..LOL.
