Digital sketch? Wacom Inkling!

When I saw this Wacom Inkling I was like "I want this!!"

This is a really smart idea! Putting sketches in digital format, it will eliminate a lot of scanning and re-sketch problem. I some times have difficult time to redraw something that I drew on a piece of tissue paper earlier of the day. Sometimes I just can reproduce the lines again. Thanks to Wacom now I can sketch on a normal paper and it will be transferred to my PC :D

This is from Wacom website, talking about Inkling:

" The Inkling digital sketch pen captures a digital likeness of your work while you sketch with its ballpoint tip on any sketchbook or standard piece of paper. Designed for rough concepting and creative brainstorming, Inkling is ideal for the front end of the creative process. Later, refine your work on your computer using an Intuos4 tablet or Cintiq interactive pen display.
In addition to capturing your sketch, stroke by stroke, Inkling allows you to create layers in digital files while you sketch on paper. Digital files are transferred to your computer using the Inkling Sketch Manager software, and later, exported to applications such as Adobe® Photoshop® and Illustrator®. Files can also be opened with the included Inkling Sketch Manager software to edit, delete, add layers or change file formats. "

I wanted to do this for long time...you know arrange competition, prize giveaway...etc but I NEVER got a chance to do that, finally I can do it. This will be the first one and hopefully many many giveaway will be arranged in the future.

In the meantime I'd like to ask you to subscribe my blog or follow me in blogger. this will boost my confident and wanting to write  and draw more good stuff on it. :D

Looked very big but actually it's about 5x8.

Just want to give you guys an update  about my online store. I got the name already and everything else except MERCHANDISE! Oh my GOODNESS! I'm running around without my head to get the merchandise that I want. One of the supplier that I was interested to purchase items seems not that interested so I had to find other suppliers who are INTERESTED.

Another supplier in UK just took my money and telling me to wait for the merchandise, it's been 2 months already and I don't have my merchandise.  =_= Talking about drama....here we have it all.

I'm also designing some stuff, so when I have it ready it should look really good. Hopefully the store will open at the end of this year or Next year, I'm aiming at Valentine's Day :D

Hopefully people will like my design <3 <3

Talk to you guys later and have a wonderful Wednesday~

Photomanipulation: Sir Mao the Fur Knight

Hellllooooo guys how are you all doing?

Thank God that Irene didn't come to Florida BUT I felt sad for all other States who got hit by Hurricane Irene. :( I really hope people are all okay there, my prayers to you all~

Never lose courage nor faith, you know that Mao Mao the Fur Knight from Kingdom of Charm will protect your heart from evil!

This is the FIRST ever photomanipulation that I ever done! I followed an online tutorial because I SO wanted to learn how to do this, and the ONLY way to learn is to DO IT BY YOURSELF! So, I found a very good website: http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/design/photo-manipulation-tutorials/ which offers plenty of tutorials on photomanipulation. I'm going to start my 2nd assignment and hopefully I'll finish by Sunday and WILL share with you guys <3 <3

You can download this full version on my art page: Marlinx Deviant Art page

What do you guys think? I hope you liked it. I still can see little flaws here and there BUT I am very happy that I finished something and created some wonderful work for Mao Mao. He does looked real right? :D

I had to do some adjustment on the horse, because there was a "knight" sitting on the horse...LOL I had to "erase" the knight SPECIALLY his leg! Remember Mao Mao don't have a leg >_<

Also I adjusted brightness and contrast... I didn't like the light blue in the tutorial SO, I made it darker to have some dark feeling...yup, Mao Mao is GOING TO KILLS THE EVIL DRAGON! xD

I'm thinking my next project...hmm, I think I'm going to make an old attic with some antique toys and of course Mao Mao will be playing toys...with lights and smokes ( shall I say dust? O_O ). Wooo... I ca't wait to start now!

Ok, there is something that I need to spit out! I can't hold it any longer! ARRRRHHHH!
What is it????????? I'm going to have my own online store! *phew* I said it! xD

I'm still setting up websites and merchandises, when I the store is finally ready I'll let you know and PLEASEEEEE buy something from my store..LOL ^^ Joking! You don't have to buy unless you want to :P

Ok guys, thank you for reading my blog...when have time please visit my other blog :Cute mao mao
Have a great Wednesday <3

Midnight

Hello everyone,

Here is one of my previous illustration " Midnight".
I was trying to draw something simple; maybe a face with a simple dark background, but I followed Mr. Liang Yue's advice; "If you don't have any concept, just continue with the flow, you might liked the end result. Follow your fingers..."
and I did... I must say it turned out not as bad as I thought.

I used this tool called "Pen Tool SAI" Is a very popular drawing application in Japan. Widely used among professional and amateur illustrators. I found this program has the smoothest line among other programs such as Painter or Photoshop. I often use this application in between Painters or just simply creating  illustrations from there.

Midnight is a practice drawing because at the time I was coloring I didn't have any idea about what kind of drawing I'm going to create. Unlike other illustrators they got layout, sketches and lines ready. @_o I guess I should learn from these experts because it's easier.

I'm thinking to start my portfolio. I've realized that I need to make bigger drawings. This was a problem for me, since I'm creating drawings digitally I had NO idea about the size. BUT, after saw many experienced artists, I got a rough idea what to create and how (thanks to Youtube).

:) Hopefully I can start drawing soon, I'll try my best... LOL after practice my songs I will *wink wink*

Thanks and see you soon~~
